UWS is a leading edge modern University, delivering education, knowledge transfer and research that has beneficial impact across Scotland, the UK and internationally.
We are investing heavily in our future: a £200million development programme is ongoing and has already delivered our new £81million Ayr Campus, a landmark building for Scottish higher education. Our new internationalisation strategy, with a key focus on the concept of global citizenship, is being progressed and we have ambitious targets for growth in our research and knowledge exchange output.
These plans see us also investing in people – with 80 new academic posts at Professor, Reader, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer and Researcher levels being offered across our Schools and Lifelong Learning Academy, covering business, computing, creative and cultural industries, education, engineering, health, lifelong learning, science, sports, and social sciences.
Download the documents on this page for details of the UWS academic and research role profiles. Information on the key disciplines across our Schools can be obtained in the Academic Disciplines section of this site.
We are looking for engaged and talented individuals to help shape our collective futures. If you have academic and research interests that you think could contribute, we look forward to hearing from you.
